Arte Para Todos or Art for All, is an initiative that brings arts learning experiences to underserved and rural communities. Arte Para Todos teaches about art, artists and cultures through hands-on art projects.
The goals of the program are:
- Make arts experiences accessible to all.
- Build self-esteem and artistic skills among the participating children through hands-on activity.
- Develop a vehicle for positive social bonds to be made between participants and staff.
- Provide a positive creative outlet for expression.
Art making activities are carefully planned to accommodate a wide range of abilities and participant ages. A diverse mix of visual arts medium intended to inspire the children’s curiosity and interest in art. Projects are also designed to foster a high degree of accomplishment and spark positive creative expression. Hands-on art activities consist mostly of individual projects with one or more group projects to encourage team work, patience and communication.
