Authentic Cultural Experiences
We invite both visitors and residents to immerse themselves in our abundantly rich artistic culture. Experience a growing creative community with old west roots enriched by the uniquely American mixing pot of new ideas, new perspectives, new tastes and new cultures. Interact with local artisans, makers and creatives. Participate in the traditions and cultural expressions of the Mimbres Region of Southwest New Mexico.
Silver City Blues Festival
Celebrating 22 years of success, the Silver City Blues Festival has grown into one of the largest events in southwest New Mexico, bringing national and international performers to the stage. Scheduled for May 26-28, 2017, draws almost 10,000 attendees from across the tristate region.
Local residents are joined by tourists from across the region to fill the hotels, shop in local establishments, and check out the area for relocation. Attendees bring their families to the park for fun, music, arts & crafts and great food.
Proceeds benefit Music Education programs for students in the Mimbres region.
Southwest Print Fiesta!
The Southwest Print Fiesta! features original fine art prints, letterpress creations, printed wearables and more for sale by regional artists and print studios. Regional artists and studio collectives are invited to demonstrate, produce and most importantly, sell their works to audiences drawn from three metropolitan cities in the southwest; Tucson, Las Cruces and El Paso.
