As an example of the entries in the Masters Art Show, pictured to the left is Ann Taylor’s “Blue Iris” painted in oil on canvas after Van Gogh, which was entered in  the Grant County Art Guild’s 2013 Masters Art Show.

Grant County Art Guild 2015 Masters Art Show is opening on April 3 in the Mimbres Region Arts Council Gallery, located in the Wells Fargo Bank building. There will be a reception from 4:30 till 6 with an opportunity to speak with the participating artists, have some refreshments and vote on your choice for who is to be honored with the “People’s Choice” award. This annual exhibit presents the work of some of the most accomplished artists in the Guild as they show paintings they have produced in the style of the master artists, including that of the “Old Masters.” Art work presented in this show takes amazing patience, skill and talent to accomplish the desired results.

The public is also cordially invited to come and enjoy this unique art exhibition that will be available for viewing, following the reception, during the Mimbres Region Arts Council regular hours of Tuesday through Friday, from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m, throughout the month of April.

INFO:  The MRAC Gallery, located the north wing of the Wells Fargo Bank building, 1201 N. Pope St. provides a venue for artist members to display and sell their work. From paintings, pencil sketches and photography to sculpture and fiber arts, all types of art and artists are featured.The Mimbres Region Arts Council (MRAC) is the curator for the MRAC Gallery in the Wells Fargo Bank building. A request for a “show” should be submitted to MRAC indicating the organization, contact name, show theme, month requested, and opening reception date. Once approved, a contract will be forward to the show contact. The cost for the show is $100.00 payable in advance. Each show will hang for approximately 1 month. Click here for guidelines.
