Bucks, Birds, Bugs and Blooms: A Silver City Backyard – Exhibition

BucksFeVa Fotos photographers, Sandy Feutz and Tom Vaughan, have chosen the beauty and variety of flora and fauna found in their own backyard as the theme for their February photography show at the Mimbres Region Arts Council Gallery. FeVa Fotos photography has been seen in nationally distributed publications and they were also honored to have their photography shown in the 2015 “New Mexico Blue Book” published by the state of New Mexico. Their work can be seen at Copper Quail Gallery and seasonally at the Hearst Church in Pinos Altos as well as other shows throughout the year.

One of the joys that they have discovered since their 2010 relocation to Silver City is the abundance of wildlife, wildflowers and beautiful sunsets right out the back door of their home in the Indian Hills area. Whether it be the adorable triplet fawns that they watched grow into adolescents, the thrashers taking a morning bath in the watering hole or the brilliant new blooms of the cholla the thrashers nest in, everyday is nature’s own new adventure that can be viewed from their kitchen table. Sandy Feutz and Tom Vaughan have shared their photography from many interesting locations, both near and far, in previous exhibits. In this show, they would like to share what can be seen and captured by your camera – and enjoyed – within a few feet of your own Silver City home.

The show titled “Bucks, Birds, Bugs and Blooms: A Silver City Backyard” will open with a reception from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3. The public is cordially invited to the reception, which will feature refreshments and a door prize and a sharing of information with the photographers. The show will be open for viewing Tuesday through Friday, from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m., through February 26 at the Mimbres Region Arts Council gallery located in the Wells Fargo Bank Building, 1201 N.
