About Joe Neri...

Joe Neri traces his musical roots to Greenwich Village, where he bought his first guitar in the early ’60s during the folk music revival of the time. Virtually weaned on early rock ‘n’ roll and rhythm & blues, he became a student of American roots music, and has devoted much of his musical life to it.

For the past twenty-plus years, Neri has performed extensively throughout Southern California and Northern Arizona, as both a solo acoustic artist and as the frontman for Blues Dawg, his electric blues band. During that time he recorded three studio and five live albums, each a combination of original and cover songs.

Since moving to Silver City earlier in 2018, Neri has been performing his solo acoustic act around town, as well as performing with the local electric blues/rock band, Bullard Street Station. He is also a founding member of Silver City Slickers, a newly formed folk ensemble.
